Niche sources and then acquires land in the relevant regions that have demand for housing for the local communities. This need is assessed by Niche in conjunction with the local authority. On this basis we work with our third party professional teams to design a scheme that will provide the needed homes in the area. On this basis a planning application is prepared by Niche and then submitted with the full support of a Registered Social Landlord who would acquire these units on completion.

The properties are then finalised in detail with the RSL and with support from the HCA and local authority the scheme is then built by NC with full handover on completion. On completion NC offers and provides full support to the residents in these schemes in respect of maintenance. As well of course a full warranty is provided for the usual 10 years however in many case we have provided 12 years for further comfort. Of course we are also exploring opportunities in healthcare, care homes and special needs accommodation.

Our latest development, Station Mews in Church Fenton, Selby is a classic example of our work to provide affordable homes for local communities.
